Project description of steel plant
1. Objective
This plan prepares to construct the capacity of 200,000 tons in steel plant per year.
2. Construction scale
The main equipments in steel making plant are composed of two 30tAC/EBT electric furnace, one 40t ladle furnace, one three—motor and three—flow continuous casting. Typical 2+1+1 mode. The material is mainly scrap. The production capacities are 200,000 tons per year for steel making.
3. Steel making
a. Raw material
The main raw material is scrap, mainly industrial, civilian and military supplies. As resource condition, pig iron, molten iron and DRI etc could be used.
b. Process
Scrap are fed into 30t EBT electric furnace to be melted, meanwhile to get rid of phosphorus, carbon, and gas and remove impurity in liquid steel. Then, liquid steel tapped into ladle furnace to refine for de-airing, desulfurization and adjusting chemical composition as well as temperature. Finally, the ladle containing qualified liquid steel is hoisted to casting machine where qualified liquid steel is casted into blooms.
In process and equipment chosen, we follow the principle of simple, economy and applied. The main equipment in steel making consists of two set of 30t EBT high power electric arc furnace with no pre-heating device, one ladle furnace (LF) and one continuous casting machine; it is so--called 2+1+1 mode.

All those are made in china, with the characteristic of maturity, simple construction, excellence capability, easily maintained and full of any spare part. The electronic parts and devices will adopt Japan and Europe Brand products.
4. Auxiliary system
a. Power supply in local
Power supply in local is the most important part for the steel making project. We should apply 50MW from local power supply administration. After it is approved. We should consider to set up one transformer substation in a suitable place where connects power grid and our steel making plant. If local power supply grid is 110KV. We need one transformer to convert it into 35KV and 10KV. It will supply electrical power for ARC furnace, LF furnace, Continuous cast machine, Oxygen generator, Hang cranes, dust clean system, and all other equipment.

5. Brief conclusion
1. Steel scrap and pig iron should be available as raw material
2. Limestone supply should be available in Local
3. Water supply available: 400m3/h
4. Minimum land: 70000m2
5. Workshop with roof: 15000m2 (150m x 100m x 21m)
6. Transformer substation: 110kv to 35kv and 10kv. Total power supply 60000KVA
7. Visas for 150 Chinese engineers and experienced workers.
8. Dormitory and dining rooms for total 200 workers
